Team and roles

Invite people, assign roles and keep an eye on seats. How workspace roles differ from vault roles.

What it is for

With Team or Business, several people work in the same workspace. This page shows how to invite people, which roles exist and how seats are counted.

How to do it

  1. 1

    Invite

Open “Admin” → “Members” and use “Invite”. Enter the email address and a role. The link in the invitation is valid for 14 days.

  2. 2

    Choose a role

A workspace has four roles: owner, admin, member and viewer. Owners and admins manage members and settings. Members work in the vaults they belong to. Viewers read.

  3. 3

    Keep an eye on seats

“Seats used” shows how many seats your plan has and how many are taken. An open invitation holds a seat until it is accepted, revoked or expires.

  4. 4

    Pause and revoke

Pause a membership when someone should lose access for a while. Open invitations are revoked in the same place.

  5. 5

    Set vault access

The workspace role applies to the workspace. What someone may do in a particular vault, whether read, write or manage, is set by their membership of that vault.

What Kepos does in the background

Changes to members and roles are recorded in the “Audit log” under “Admin”. It shows who changed what and when.

The number of seats also sets the AI credit for dreaming: the plan includes a monthly allowance per seat.

Common questions

Who can invite members?

Owners and admins of the workspace.

What does a new member see?

The vaults they are added to and their own personal Space. Nobody sees anyone else’s personal Space.

Does every member need their own permission for dreaming?

No. One member authorising a vault is enough. Every member can add their own permission and revoke it again.
