You can retrieve your data at any time. Every Space can be downloaded as a password-protected archive containing all current notes in an open format. There is no lock-in: what you export is yours to keep.

Other users cannot. Every Space is isolated at the database layer, and your content is encrypted with its keys stored separately. Features such as nightly consolidation require Kepos to decrypt content on the server. That means we can technically access it, but only do so for features you actively use. This is not end-to-end encryption, and we say that plainly.

Kepos is not a notes app with an AI button. It is a shared workspace for multiple assistants. They access your knowledge directly instead of through copy and paste, work from the same source, and coordinate in a shared chat. Private and team knowledge remain cleanly separated.
